‘like the climate you’ll never know what weather you’ll get’
twenty one | three | pittsburgh, pennsylvania
show name: bonaparte work place: acrobat personality: 'I got a lot to say to you, yeah I got a lot to say’ The one thing that Jasper is famous for, besides his beauty up in the sky, is his temper. Usually, Jasper does his best to keep quiet and calm and rational. Words he wants to say to people, scream at people, just build up slowly inside of him. Then, well anyone could guess it, he explodes. Just like that. Ka-boom. Then, in that time, Jaspers a changed man. There is no stopping his angry tirade. He will rant and rave at who ever he comes to pass. This, obviously, is not good. Especially if it happens during a show. He will suddenly become bold, brash, and stupid. He’s broken many bones during these bursts of rage in the sky, acting like a total idiot. His anger has ways of venting itself in small ways though, to prevent these explosions from happening to often. He can suddenly turn snippish and rude for just a moment. Its like a little puff of smoke compared this Jaspers usual explosions.
‘I’ll wreck this if I have to, tell me what good would that do’ Jasper is not an easily trusting person. People to him, people are idiots, people have no idea what they are doing. In his life, the people around him have not been the best to him. So over the years, he has stopped trusting anyone. The last thing Jasper would do is trust a single one with his own life. Or anything at all, really. He understands that most everyone, especially at a carnival, is a slime ball. People will do anything to survive. Everything is about money. Every little fact leads Jasper to believe people, well, people are not to be trusted. Anything is not to be trusted. This is the one main reason he prefers to work alone. Having a partner, well, it is most likely they would drop him. Alone, he at least knows he is able of keeping himself from falling to his death, well, except for those certain times. With someone else though, he doesn’t know what they’re thinking, he doesn’t really know who they are. They could easily drop him from the sky like he was nothing more then a sack of potatoes.
summary: The Bonaparte family was your average run of the mill all American family. Wife that worked at home most of the time, husband that worked in some office somewhere and loved football with a passion, one son that loved football as much as his father. Then there was Jasper, the odd one out. Chip, Jaspers older brother, was the model child. Good grades, sports oriented, tough guy, everything a father hoped for. Jasper, well Jasper was different. Jaspers father always praised Chip, loved Chip. He’d say Chip knew what he wanted and how to get it. He was the crier, the tantrum thrower, the one everyone loved despite it all because he could throw a perfect spiral by age nine. Jasper was always quiet, always calm. He never really wanted anything, never really tried to get anything he did want. Chip always loved meeting new people as a toddler, Jasper was more distant. He rarely cried, even when he fell down. His father took this for toughness, so didn’t mind. He would mostly ignore Jaspers quiet ways.
Jasper, though part of the family, a loved one like Chip, was never anything like Chip. He hated football, or any ball oriented sport. His father, of course, tried to get Jasper to do some sort of sport. Jasper always failed then refused. There was only one thing Jasper was interested in. Gymnastics. He’d seen it on tv once and loved it. His father absolutely refused. No son of his was doing gymnastics. Jasper never persisted, just stayed silent, going about his anger in his own moody way. Finally, his mother enrolled Jasper in gymnastics, as he hadn’t spoken to a single person int he family for weeks and his fahter was just getting angrier and angrier. This didn’t solve that problem, but Jasper was elated. He finally got what he wanted. He excelled in gymnastics class. From the day he walked in to he living room in his tights for his first class though, his father silently hated him.
Jasper was what they call a natural at gymnastics. He was amazing with balance, never failed to trust in his own strength, and was extremely flexible. He was amazing. He was the youngest to ever win a state championship at only fifteen years of age. His father never went to see any competitions, or any practices. He always went to Chips football games, but would have nothing to do with Jaspers gymnastics. He soon learned not to care. His mother would always come and cheer him on. Chip always bullied Jasper at school, but it was just all the same to him. He pushed the haters away and just focused on his work. This is when he started to become explosive, the constant suppressing of his true feelings.
At age nineteen. the Haven Circus came to Pittsburgh. He’d been wanting to see a circus since he was little, and his mother bought him tickets to this one. He was so happy. He went and the acrobats there astounded him. They were so amazing. He hadn’t seen tricks like that in his life. After the show, he went to go speak with them about their moves. They managed to get it out of him that he was a gymnast. They asked him to show them what he could do. After some persuasion, he did what they asked. Little did he know, the ring master was watching from the shadows. He performed beautifully on the tight rope and the rings, high above the ground. when his feet were planted firmly on the ground, the ring master approached him and offered him a job. Since then, Jasper has been working at the Haven Circus, for just around two years now. He’s broken many bones, but doesn’t think he’s going to stop being an acrobat any time soon.
